Captain Morgan 0.0%: Does It Really Deliver?
Hey I'm Marc! and I used to be all about beers and hard liquors.

Okay. Let’s talk about this one!
Rum and coke has always been one of my comfort drinks. Simple. No thinking. Just ice, coke, rum, done. So when I cracked open Captain Morgan 0.0, I was genuinely excited to see if it could bring that feeling back.
First move… I smelled it.
And honestly?
That hit me right away!!
Vanilla. Warm spice. That classic Captain Morgan smell I know so well. Not fake. Not watery. Not that weird artificial note you sometimes get with alcohol free stuff. It smelled right. Like, pause-for-a-second right.
So obviously, I mixed it with coke.
First sip and I literally said out loud, “Oh wow.”
It works. It actually works!!
The balance is there. Slight sweetness, nice spice, and enough body that it doesn’t disappear once the ice starts melting. I kept drinking, waiting for that moment where things usually go downhill.
It never really did.
Is it identical to the original? No.
But after a few sips, I honestly stopped caring.
I was just enjoying a rum and coke. Talking. Laughing. Being in the moment. And that feeling… that’s what I missed more than anything.
I keep it dead simple. Ice. Coke. Lime. No tricks. No fancy glass. And even as the ice melts, it still holds up, which impressed me more than I expected!!
What really got me is that it doesn’t try to be clever. No reinvention. No long story. It’s not trying to sell you a lifestyle. It just brings back a familiar taste you might think is gone for good.
And that hit me harder than I thought it would.
This one genuinely changed how I look at alcohol free spirits!!
Not as compromises.
But as real discoveries.
That’s exciting!!
Best with: Coke or ginger beer.
